There are two types of BSP connections, a BSP Taper and a BSP Parallel. The taper version is very much like the NPT fitting where the sealing surface (for pressure) is the threads. The Parallel type has several variations. First a flat face, an internal cone, and yet another with an external cone. Threads are straight threads which do not seal; the sealing surface is an o'ring, dowty seal, some other form of gasket, or on the cone if it is the cone variation. Care must be taken to get the right one.
Sizes available
BSPs start at 1/8" and go very large, over many inches. We stock up to 3/4". Be careful and not confuse the stated size with the actual measurement of the threads. For example a 1/2" actually has an OD (outside dimension) of 21mm. We make sizes up to 2".
Connections to BSPs available at Pressure Links
We stock BSP in the coned versions, both internal and external. We can manufacture the tapered version if needed. We stock BSP to NPT, BSP to BSP, BSP to Medium Pressure, BSP to High Pressure, BSP to JIC, and BSP to Type M.

Alloy Description And Application,
Nickel-Aluminum Bronze filler metal is used
for MIG and TIG welding of cast and wrought nickel-aluminum bronze parts such as ship
propellers, where high resistance to corrosion, erosion and cavitations in salt or brackish water
is required. Nickel-Aluminum Bronze is a very popular filler metal in offshore technology for
such items as sea-water desalting, shipbuilding and repair. Also used in the power plant and
chemical industry for pumps and tube systems. Helium may be preferred when TIG welding on
Al-bronzes that has 300°F maximum interpass recommendations.
